International Service Corps (ISC)

The International Service Corps (ISC), a program initiative of YMCA Alumni, provides short-term opportunities for YMCA Alumni members to use their expertise and critical skills to benefit YMCAs in foreign countries. Types of services may include teaching English language skills, coaching basketball, swimming, or other sports, helping to develop staff and volunteer leadership skills, facilitating collaboration, and long-term planning, among other activities. Current opportunities to serve include Ys in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Macedonia, Uruguay, and Mexico.  Tracy Muckey is Chair.

 World Fellowship of YMCA Retirees (WFYR)

The World Fellowship of YMCA Retirees (WFYR) is a partner of YMCA Alumni, and all our members are included.  Individuals and organized retiree chapters worldwide make up the global membership. WFYR’s strategic objectives for 2026-2030 include fostering fellowship and generating interest in the global work of the YMCA; communicating regularly through BRIDGES newsletter and via virtual meetings; managing and expanding our Global Retirement Initiative to support YMCA staff in countries that do not have pension plans; supporting the World YMCA’s Emergency Assistance Fund (Secours Speciaux) for YMCA staff facing hardship, and planning for the 2030 WFYR World Conference in conjunction with the YMCA World Council.  Helene Weir is WFYR Chair.
